Barry Humphries Consulting LLC is a holding company in the plainest sense. It owns the bank account, signs the leases, and carries the insurance. The actual work happens under four names.
Retail
Franklin’s Fetch
Retail selling, mostly on Amazon with a second catalog on eBay. The business is sourcing, pricing, listing and fulfillment, and it lives or dies on how fast a bad listing gets found and fixed. It runs on tooling built in house, because the off-the-shelf research software was never quite worth what it cost.
Franklin is a dog. He does not fetch, which is most of the joke.
Booking 2027
Lamp & Oil Weddings
Planning help for couples who have a venue and a date and no idea what happens next. That runs from a single planning package through full coordination, plus day-of help at the wedding itself. The territory is north Alabama and the Gulf Coast, which is close enough to drive and far enough to be worth the trip.
The name comes from the parable of the ten virgins, where the ones who were ready had oil in their lamps. It seemed like the right idea for a business built around not being caught out on the day.
Already Home
Every Lamp & Oil couple gets a real website rather than a page on somebody else’s platform, with their own domain and no ads for a registry they did not pick. Behind the public site is an admin area that handles the guest list, RSVPs by text or web, the budget, vendor contacts and the schedule for the day.

Dealership and small business work
Most of my working life has been spent in retail automotive and RV sales, a long stretch of it on the finance and insurance side. Lender relationships, deal structure, back-end product menus, and the process problems that show up when a store grows faster than its paperwork.
This is not a full time consulting practice and it is not sold by the hour to strangers. It is work that comes through people who already know me.
